With its motto of “Pro Ecclesia, Pro Texana,” or, “For Church, for Texas,” Baylor University of Waco seeks to provide its students with a thorough Christian education that will prepare them for a future life of service and leadership.
Baylor offers over 150 baccalaureate programs to freshman and transfer students, in unique areas such as Theater Performance, Aviation Sciences and Nutrition Sciences. Baylor also offers over 75 master’s degrees and over 30 doctoral programs.
Admissions are competitive, and Baylor looks to admit students who are well rounded beyond academics, but can also display a strong grade record. To discuss admissions requirements, counselors are available.
To apply for financial aid to assist with the cost of tuition, begin by submitting a FAFSA. The school offers a variety of scholarships, and grants and loans may also be available. To check your eligibility for these additional options, meet with a financial aid advisor.
Baylor offers its students more than 275 organizations, clubs, honor societies, musical groups, religious and service organizations and Greek opportunities, ensuring an exciting college life on campus. The school also emphasizes the importance of service, and features Baptist Student Ministry, mission trips and other community service projects.
