With a commitment to academic innovation and excellence, California State University, Sacramento, is among the most comprehensive of the California State schools. Its urban campus houses nearly 30,000 students, about 23,000 of whom are undergraduates.

Sacramento State’s academics are divided amongst several colleges:

There are more than 80 academic departments, providing an endless range of subjects to explore. If you’ve already completed your bachelor’s degree and are interested in further study, the university also offers more than 40 degree programs for continuing education.

Any high school graduate who has completed the comprehensive college prep coursework qualifies for regular undergraduate admissions at Sacramento State. Graduate admissions vary by department; contact the Office of Graduate Study for more information.

Sacramento State offers financial aid based on both need and merit. The priority deadline for the FAFSA is March 2. Scholarship application procedures depend on the program, but the general application deadline for institutional scholarships is March 15.
