Chester College of New England is a private, non-sectarian institution of higher education that offers the Bachelor of Arts degree. The College grants the Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography and Media Arts, Creative Writing, Professional Writing, and Interdisciplinary Arts.

Chester College of New England embraces the idea that the liberal arts are essential to lifelong education, as well as being the foundation of all creative and professional endeavors. All degree candidates must satisfactorily complete the general education core curriculum, which includes courses from the liberal and creative arts.

Extra-curricular programs at Chester College of New England are designed to enhance and enrich the learning experience. Students are expected to be active members of the campus community, both in and out of the classroom. The Student Services office is organized to help facilitate numerous student programs and activities that complement the classroom experience and that provide positive creative, cultural, athletic and social activities for all students.

As there are no varsity athletics on campus, sports activities are informal. The College's extensive campus provides students with ample space for games of ultimate Frisbee, kickball, flag football, soccer, basketball and volleyball, which occur throughout the year. The entire college community may also take full advantage of the nature trails on campus.

In addition to the activities available on campus, the surrounding region provides students with further recreational opportunities. Chester College of New England is situated in an area that is resplendent with natural beauty: Nearby Lake Massabesic features sailboats in the warmer months and ice fishing huts in the winter, while the picturesque White Mountains lie within an hour’s drive, and New Hampshire's historic coastline is forty minutes away. Cities within a hour’s drive include: Portland, Maine, named one of the top 25 art cities in the country; and Boston, with its clubs, museums, and galleries.
