Chetta's Academy of Hair and Nails

The mission of Chetta’s Academy of Hair and Nails in the small town of Port Angeles, Washington, is to keep the area looking fabulous by training aspiring cosmetologists to become licensed professionals in the fields of hair, nail and skin care.

To encourage more students to apply, Chetta’s maintains an open admissions policy. Those who are at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED are eligible to apply.

Chetta’s academics are designed to prepare you to take the Washington licensing examination upon graduation. Your education will cover everything from essential background science lessons in anatomy and physiology to advanced skills like chemical texturizing to the crucial business practices necessary to run a salon.

Most of your instruction will be hands-on learning, which will allow you to refine your skills in a professional setting.

Since the beauty industry is constantly evolving, instructors at Chetta’s provide you with the personalized attention that will inspire you to express your creativity and stand out among other students. Class sizes are intentionally kept small so that each student has the opportunity to benefit from an individualized education.

Once you have successfully acquired Washington state licensure, you can be on your way to a new career at one of Washington’s many professional salons or spas.
