Colorado Technical University School Description

Colorado Technical University, a system of schools geared toward providing working adults with a real-world perspective on higher education and professional training, was founded in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1965 and has been under ownership of the Career Education Corporation since 2003.

Colorado Technical University by the accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. CTU maintains nonresidential, commuter campuses in three U.S. states. There are currently six physical campus locations in the Colorado Technical University family of schools, including CTU’s Institute for Advanced Studies.

The curriculum and professional training programs at Colorado Technical University are geared toward working adults, most of whom maintain full-time employment status while in school, seeking career advancement and opportunities by enhancing their education via bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, master’s degrees and doctoral degrees.

Colorado Technical University Online, or CTU Online, the school’s popular and highly developed distance learning outlet, is also known for producing large numbers of graduates with industry-relevant technical and computer science skills.
