EPCC Description

El Paso Community College’s Valle Verde campus is the largest in the entire district. Students therefore benefit from a large and spacious campus with numerous facilities and updated technology. The school also provides extensive financial aid opportunities.

Academics available at Valle Verde include associate’s degrees in such disciplines as:

  • Education
  • Health care
  • Liberal arts
  • Technical careers

The school’s classrooms use state-of-the–art technology, and one of the newest buildings on campus houses several up-to-date computer and language labs.

Other facilities include several childcare centers and the largest library in the El Paso Community College system.

The campus also has many indoor and outdoor recreation areas, including patios and dining areas.

Valle Verde offers numerous and varied financial aid options, which include school, federal and state grants, work-study awards and federal loans. They also offer more than 25 different scholarship programs. Different types of scholarships include cultural scholarships, academic scholarships and scholarships based on one’s major area of study. There is also a tuition waiver program for eligible Texas residents with a strong financial need.

In addition to all of these programs, the school offers emergency scholarships to help students with books, materials and personal expenses. Veteran’s benefits are available, as well. Federal and state grants, work-study programs and federal loans require a FAFSA. Scholarships and other programs may require a separate application.

To apply for admissions, applicants will need to complete an online admissions application and take an entrance exam. After they are accepted, new students will need to attend a new student orientation.
