Grand Canyon University
Grand Canyon University School Description
Originally founded in 1949 as a teacher’s college, Grand Canyon University is now a private, non-denominational Christian school based in Phoenix, Arizona. With bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in business, education, liberal arts, nursing and health sciences, GCU’s 25,000 students have access to both on-campus and online curricula with a faith-based bent.
Grand Canyon University’s approach blends modern, practical applications, like its effective, online “ANGEL” program, with set, spiritual methodologies aimed at employers interested in graduates with these particular skill sets in over 60 areas or study.
GCU also encourages its students to cultivate their social and cultural development on campus with events and concerts, NCAA II Division athletic teams, visiting speakers, community service initiatives and more.
