HCC Description

Founded as one of the first community colleges in King County, the Highline Community College in Seattle, Washington, which overlooks the breathtaking Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains, has made a name for itself by producing a large number of graduates who go on to contribute to Washington's economic and industrial expansion and evolution.

Highline offers more than 40 associate's degree and professional certificate programs in a variety of career paths, including:

  • Accounting
  • Hospitality and Tourism Management
  • Interior Design
  • Local Area Networking
  • Vocational Nursing

The school's academics have been designed to prepare you for either an entry-level position or a baccalaureate program in your specific field. Highline maintains transfer agreements with many four-year institutions throughout Washington to allow qualified graduates an easy transfer.

Highline understands that total development cannot happen only in the classroom, which is why it offers a wide array of student clubs and organizations you can join to enhance your college life. Whether you want to take part in community service projects, gain professional and leadership skills or just meet like-minded students, Highline has many fun social opportunities for you.

If you need help academically or personally throughout your collegiate life, you can check out the support services offered by Highline, including tutoring, counseling and professional skill development programs.

To extend its services to students of all backgrounds, Highline operates on an open admissions policy, which considers each applicant for enrollment as long as they have graduated from high school or earned a GED.

Tuition is slightly lower for Washington residents, although all students, out-of-state or not, may apply for financial aid by filing a FAFSA.
