MCCKC Description
Metropolitan Community College’s (MCC) Penn Valley campus offers select and specialized degrees in diverse disciplines that range from the arts to healthcare. Each of Penn Valley’s programs operates as an individual school, offering numerous study options and fully equipped facilities.
The Penn Valley campus is located in Kansas City, Missouri. MCC has also has seven other campuses throughout the region.
Academics at Penn Valley include associate’s degrees in the visual arts. Within this discipline, students have many concentrations from which to choose, including:

- Web Design Sculpture
Penn Valley also delivers healthcare programs at its state-of-the-art virtual hospital. The virtual hospital simulates a real hospital and is fully equipped with simulated patients and medical technology. Students can practice numerous procedures, including:
- Intubation
- Insertion of IV
- Cardioversion
- Lung Decompression
Penn Valley is also home to an Applied Language Institute, which offers English language courses including reading, conversation, writing and grammar. All levels of language study are available. Students also have access to language labs and other language tools.
Penn Valley’s Education Department grants degrees and certificates in Child Development and Youth Development. The school also operates Kipp Endeavor Academy, an academy for high school students, which is known throughout the state.
Penn Valley admissions requirements include a high school diploma or GED. Students outside of Kipp Academy should also be at least 18 years old.
Penn Valley offers need-based financial aid awards like federal grants and loans. They also offer scholarships to students who meet certain academic requirements.
