For over 60 years, Pacific Oaks College has been in the business of providing top-quality education to students interested in earning a certificate or degree in teacher education, marriage and family counselors or human development. The college remains dedicated to upholding the Quaker principles on which it was founded, including respect for all individuals, inclusion and social justice. In 2010, they became a part of the TCS Education System (TCS ES), a group of institutions that prepare students to become socially and culturally responsible professionals in human services, psychology and teaching. Recently the college opened Pacific Oaks College – Online offering 100% of their courses over the internet.

Students have the choice of earning a certificate for teacher education, bachelors degree in human development, or masters degree in human development or marriage and family counseling. There are specializations within those fields for students interested in focusing on a particular demographic. The curriculum focuses on teaching students to work with a diverse group of people to meet the goal of finding the most effective way to teach or counsel them.
