Description

Originally an Antioch College campus, Sojourner-Douglass College has been its own institution since 1980. As it name suggests, Sojourner-Douglass offers Afrocentric academics. Its undergraduate and graduate degree programs focus primarily on public service and social sciences, including the following fields:

  • Human Services
  • Urban Planning and Community Development
  • Public Administration
  • Urban Education
  • Political Campaign Management

Of course, academics at Sojourner-Douglass College are not limited to the social sciences. Plenty of other majors are available, such as Biotechnology, Nursing, Business Administration and Accounting.

Credit transfer is a unique feature of the admissions process at Sojourner-Douglass College. Not only can you transfer credits from other institutions, you can also potentially earn credit for life experience you have gained in your chosen field of study.

Admissions requirements at Sojourner-Douglass vary depending on whether you apply as an undergraduate or a graduate. Visit the school’s website for detailed information.

Though it does not offer institutional financial aid, Sojourner-Douglass College provides tuition assistance through government sources. Title IV grants and loans are a good source for need-based financial aid, and students can find additional assistance from external scholarship sources.
