Stanly Community College, located in Albemarle, is a valuable local resource for existing and potential industry. In addition to providing an excellent two-year education, Stanly Community College has routinely worked with our local industries to design courses to meet their needs. As the industrial base of the City and County has changed, the College has stepped forward to retrain workers for a new economy. A primary goal is to assist in accelerating the economic development of the service area by providing customized instruction to business and industry. We are also fortunate to have an excellent four-year university in the County. Pfeiffer University is located just outside of Albemarle in Misenheimer and offers a variety of four-year degrees as well as opportunities for post-graduate degrees.
