To promote the development of public heath leaders, who will foster improvements in the health and quality of life in Puerto Rico, through the creation of alliances and strategic collaborations and other concerted actions.
Mission
To improve public health practice in Puerto Rico through the development of collaborative and transformational leaders who have the capability and competence to direct innovative public health projects that seek to improve the population's health and well being.

Goals and Objectives
1.
To enhance the public health practice in Puerto Rico through the continuous improvement of public health leaders' knowledge, skills and attitudes.

1.1 To develop the competence of the Puerto Rico Department of Health's managerial, professional and technician personnel to exercise leadership roles and promote public health actions that contribute to improvements in the population's health.

1.2 To enhance the leadership competencies of public health professionals working in the public and private sectors, as well as, those in community-based organizations.

1.3 To advance the development of interdisciplinary teams involved in inter-sectorial work elaborating collaborative actions and strategic networks in public health.
2.
To foment effectiveness and efficiency in public health services and research on public health leadership practices in Puerto Rico.

To develop a collaborative network between the Puerto Rico Department of Health and the UPR Graduate School of Public Health.
4.
To establish a collaborative network between public health leaders in the United States, Puerto Rico, and other Latin American countries.
