Heald College, a family of schools geared toward providing business-career training for students in fields like healthcare, management and technology, was founded by Edward Payson Heald in 1863 in San Francisco, California, and was reportedly acquired by Corinthian Colleges, Inc. in November 2009.
Heald College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The College has expanded its national presence with nonresidential, commuter campuses in three U.S. states. There are currently 11 physical campus locations in the Heald College family of schools.
The curriculum and professional training programs at Heald College are aimed at toward working adults—most of whom maintain full-time employment status while in school—seeking career advancement and opportunities by enhancing their education via bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas and program certification.
