Description

There are many different types of students. So, why shouldn’t there be many different type of high schools? Union County Vocational Technical School in Scotch Plains, New Jersey is one such high school, serving students who have different styles of learning.

Students in any year of high school can join one of the many schools of study: automotive technology, building trades, communication, culinary arts, cosmetology, allied health sciences, plumbing, information technology, electrical technology and performing arts.

Learning options include full-time education with vocational and general education combined, or a shared-time program that allows students who are home-schooled to come in for career training part-time.

Small class sizes allow students to get the attention they deserve and need to succeed in the award-winning school, which has won the First Annual Governor’s School of Excellence award.

The many student organizations, including community service, art, honor, newspaper, and student government clubs, only add to the great atmosphere.
