If you’re in the Woodward area of Oklahoma and looking for technological training and education, then the High Plains Technology Center may be the place for you. The school is accredited by the Oklahoma Board of Career and Technology Education.

Full-time career programs offered at the technology center include:

*Automotive Technology
*Business and Information Technology
*Construction Trades
*Medium/Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Technology
*Welding
*Practical Nursing

Students may also take advantage of the available business and industry services, like safety training, business development, industry training, agricultural business management, law enforcement training and more.

Special programs unique to the technology center include Project Hope, which prepares students for full-time employment; Superintendent’s Leadership Class, designed to maximize leadership skills in students who’ve shown exemplary leadership potential; Summer Computer Class for students to receive half or full credit; and a Summer Youth Academy, a program designed for those ages 9-13 to participate in a variety of low-cost educational programs.

The technology center also offers a new Integrated Energy Training Center, which offers certifications for wind technicians, those in the oil and gas industry, and solar technicians.

The center also offers a number of student services, including career counseling, financial aid assistance, job placement assistance, diagnostic and interest inventories, tech prep, and more.

Students may also earn college credits through agreements with Northern Oklahoma College, Cowley County Community College, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and OSU Okmulgee.
