Description

The Jefferson County-DuBois Area Vocational-Technical School is a career preparatory high school. Many of its attendees are high-school aged students who study at JEFF TECH from 9th through 12th grade.

The school also provides evening classes for adult education and professional trade courses. Some of the adult education programs include Cake Decorating, CDL Training, and GED Testing. Some of the professional trade classes include Auto Mechanics, Food Service, and Information Technology.

Students who are enrolled full time in the adult academic programs can complete their curriculum in about a year.

JEFF TECH has a Practical Nursing Program as well that gets students ready for a career in the healthcare field as a registered nurse. A high school diploma or its equivalent is mandatory for nursing applicants to be considered for admission. Various forms of financial assistance are offered to qualifying students.

If you are looking to prepare yourself for a job in a field that you are interested in pursuing, or you want to improve your current skills in an existing occupation, you should consider the Jefferson County-DuBois Area Vocational-Technical School.
