New Community Workforce Development Center offers career training programs and comprehensive assistance to help low-income individuals fulfill their potential in all areas of life. Located in Newark, New Jersey, New Community Workforce Development Center provides affordable housing, food assistance, support for utility bills, healthcare assistance, substance abuse counseling and other services for eligible senior citizens, single parents, families and the disabled.
Committed to helping all in need, New Community Workforce also has a residential facility for the homeless.
New Community Workforce also provides career training in secure professions. These include a program in practical nursing, a culinary arts school that trains individuals to become chefs, and a course in automotive repair. They also offer a GED prep program. All programs may take one year or less to complete.
In addition to training indviduals for promising careers, New Community Workforce Development has a career placement service that aims to help students find jobs. New Community Workforce Development’s career placement service provides excellent support, from counseling to job referrals to follow-ups.
NCC even hosts arts and culture workshops, including traveling art exhibits and jazz festivals with Creole and Cajun cuisine.
