Hi! Both Brooks and FIDM are excellent colleges to study the fashion or enterntainment industry, but it depends on what you're going to study. It also depends on location. Many people perfer to be by the beach while others perfer living in the fast-paced lifestyle that downtown Los Angeles offers. I do know that in terms of location, FIDM is central in all the job opportunities in the fashion, entertainment and interior industries! Being that they're located by the fashion district, there's tons of opporunities for you to get hands on experience. The faculty here are known for their impressive backgrounds and for staying connected with the field they're teaching by continuing to work in their field! This knowledge in return gets passed down to the students and they use it to help futher their careers. Hope this helps :)

My brother went there and it is a very prestigious school for photography and film. I think they are known world-wide because there are many international students there. The campus is actually a huge mansion in the beautiful Santa Barbara area. You will have opportunities to meet people which will open doors for you career-wise after you graduate. My brother is now working as a fashion photographer in NYC and making decent money. Tuition is very expensive, though, so you better be rich or able to pay back some hefty student loans. A degree from here won't guarantee your success. Some of my brother's old friends are flat broke now... It takes persistence and personal drive to make it. Good luck.
