Globe University/Minnesota School of Business - Plymouth School Description

Globe University and Minnesota School of Business have served students from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, from Greater Minnesota and from neighboring states for 130 years. During that time the schools, now operating cooperatively as Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB) have had a single, unwavering focus — providing practical education that prepares graduates for employment opportunities.

At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business we have one clear focus: providing career training that sets students on direct paths to professional success. Our formula is simple - in every college program, in every class and in every lesson, a student experiences:

* Small class sizes and a high level of personal attention
* An emphasis on practical, hands-on training
* Instruction by experienced professionals
* Professional networking opportunities

Our graduates have the job skills the employment market is asking for. College classes are taught by experienced professionals, and emphasize practical, hands-on training. Every program’s advisory board includes industry and business professionals, ensuring that we keep pace with the changing career marketplace.

Every program at GU/MSB is developed in conjunction with an advisory board that includes employers and professionals in the industry served by that program. Working with instructors and alumni, the advisors identify the skills necessary for success in the industry.

Our program directors and instructors then incorporate those skills in courses that ensure graduates have the training employers are looking for. Whether a student is enrolled in a business administration program, preparing for a career in information technology, a job in health science or for work in some other field, the student will receive thorough training in the following:

* Critical thinking and problem solving
* Teamwork and leadership
* Oral and written communication

At GU/MSB, we have a formula for student success: employer-approved curriculum, hands-on training, individualized attention provided by instructors with practical knowledge and on-the-job experience. Our grads have the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in their professions.

GU/MSB students come from diverse backgrounds, and are preparing for careers in fields as varied as business management, nursing, medical assisting, information technology, video production, and massage therapy. One factor unites students, staff and faculty at our college, however — a focus on career preparation. That focus forms the basis of a rich and rewarding student life.

Globe University/Minnesota School of Business-Plymouth (GU/MSB) is 15 miles west of Minneapolis on I-394/Highway 12, at the southwest corner of the intersection of County Road 101 and County Road 6, in Plymouth Plaza.

Our campus is small, but not crowded. You will not see students lost and confused trying to get to class. An if you do have questions, you will get cheerful service at the receptionist desk and the administration offices. The tree-shaded nature trail that borders our property is great for bird watching or a quiet stroll, and the student commons provides a comfortable place to study and socialize. Minutes from Lake Minnetonka, amid parks and beautiful natural spaces, the campus is still convenient to restaurants and shopping.
