Description
A career in nursing can be a rewarding experience. Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing understands the important role nurses play in the health field and offers applicants a chance to start a vocation as a professional nurse by earning a diploma in Nursing.
After they earn a diploma, students can then continue their pursuit of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Firelands. The entire process to obtain a diploma and associate’s degree should only take a few years.
Prospective students must complete high-school level courses in Algebra, Biology and Chemistry prior to applying for and enrolling in the Nursing program. The school has smaller class sizes, and offers spacious on-campus living accommodations for those who do not want to commute.
It also provides eligible students with the opportunity to supplement the cost of education with a variety of federal, state, and institutional financial aid sources.
Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing is part of Firelands Regional Medical Center (where attendees can receive an osteopathic medical education) and The Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education (CORE). This gives the school an advantage, as it has access to numerous academic and medical resources throughout the State of Ohio.
