Overall

I love the University of Oklahoma's campus. There are many places indoors and out to study, and the library is absolutely beautiful. The academic advising, at least in my college, does leave a little bit to be desired. I have really had to take the reins with my education to ensure that I do not fall behind because of missed classes. Make sure you print out a Major sheet so you know what classes you have to take. The football games here are the best part of attending this University. There is a Southern Hospitality vibe, and people are polite and friendly to each other, except the bikers might run you over if you are not careful.

Academics

The majority of my classes have been around 20-50 people, with only a few large lecture classes over 200 people. The professors tend to go above and beyond to assist the students that need it. They will meet with you during office hours, or work with you on scheduling a time to meet outside of their normal office hours. Some of the hardest classes have Action Center tutoring, which allows for extra help from the professors and/or the TAs for the classes. The workload for the upper division classes tends to be fairly heavy, but it depends on what the class is. My psychology classes were very reading-heavy, whereas physics had practice problems to do every week. It really depends on your major. My favorite class so far has also been my hardest: Intro to Human Anatomy with Dr. Gordon. She is, to quote her, "fabulous."

College Life

Campus safety on Norman's campus is impeccable. We recently had a shooting scare, and within minutes, a text message and emails were sent out to nearly every student making them aware of the situation. Most students, unless their emergency contact information was not up to date, were immediately notified of the safety threat, and within ten minutes there were at least a dozen cop cars, from the OU and Norman Police Departments, on campus. They responded extremely quickly, and I am confident that if there were a real emergency (because this one turned out to be a false alarm) they would respond with the same speed and efficiency as they did for this. The campus really bands together in times of need. Campus corner is the place to go for nightlife, there are many good restaurants and bars that you can go to with your friends as well as several boutiques if you want to go shopping, and there is even one where people go to dance. We are also not far from Oklahoma City, so if you want to go to a bigger mall or city with more options, it is as easy as a 20 or 30 minute trip up I-35. The football games are the best part of the Fall Semester, and our football team is usually very good. Everyone comes out to tailgate and go to the game. On nice weather days, people can be seen sitting outside, reading or just talking, in many of the grassy areas on campus. This university is truly my favorite place in the country, and I would not want to spend my college days anywhere else.

I love Oklahoma University it is so free and welcoming, everyone makes you feel like you belong and just walking around campus, there is always some type of sight to see. I remember when I first became a student here everyone was so willing to help and friendly, that was what made me look forward to my college experience meeting new people. What I like the most are all the resource OU has to help there students whether it is academic or financial needs.

Academics

My biggest class is my history lecture class and quiet frequently am surprised myself because that is not what I expected, with that being said the rest of my classes are from 15-20 students. Am really happy about that because we get to have a closer relationship with our professor and instructor which is not common and the huge lecture course. My biggest problems are studying and time management you have to be able to manage your time whether it is going to eat lunch or hanging with your friends. The work is challenging but this is college, also though with challenging work there comes people and organization that are willing to help.

College Life

You can never say, " Am bored" because there is always something going on you just have to get out and find it. There are so many excellent organizations you can participant in, it is hard to chose from. As I mention before majority of everyone here are very friendly and are also looking to make friends and have fun whether it is watching movies, going to the mall or even going to parties together so the social atmosphere is amazing. As far as safety they are doing a pretty good job I make it to my dorm room any time am out late and they have plenty of emergency booths and organization like safe walk and safe ride so you don't have to walk alone or get stuck anywhere in Norman.

Overall this is the school of my dreams. The campus is beautiful, the teachers are wonderful, and the students are friendly. I was so happy and honored to be accepted here. I am learning so much and enjoying every minute of it.

Academics

My first class at the university was an online class and it was great not too full, or busy. After this last semester on campus I found some classes crowded, but not but 1 out of 5 are like that. Also, the teachers were are all best and worked hard to make you stand out.

College Life

The other students make it very welcoming and will help you with anything you need to find or want to do. The clubs are amazing and always updating you and encouraging you to join. The campus safety is amazing except for the lighting. Weekend activities are always plentiful and diverse.

Overall

Well I havent necessarily had a tour of this university, but I am very interstead in attending this college after graduating from high school. This university has all the technology and classes needed for the career I attend to take after graduation. I have only visted the cafeteria and their food there is great. I have several friends from high school already attending this college and it would be increidible to attend with them as well.

Academics

In high school I am currently a junior. I am in soccer playing for varsity. I also am in a organization called the National Honors Society where we do community service and have to achieve good academics.

College Life

In this college i would love to play soccer. The social atmosphere to me seems very friendly and a calm place to live at. I don't know much about weekend activities, but I have heard that there are siorities and I would be interstead in joining.

We were in a small group and received individual attention. I loved my advisor, she really helped me figure out the classes that would be best for me. The campus is really pretty too

There is a great area called campus corner with restaurants and shops. I'm looking forward to the football games in the Fall
