Description
At Arlington Baptist College (ABC), your academic, social and extracurricular life is grounded in Christian study, belief and practices, giving you a Christian-based education and campus experience.
Located in Arlington, Texas, ABC’s curriculum is categorized into three distinctive divisions: the Division of Biblical Studies, the Division of General Studies and the Division of Professional Studies. Through these different divisions you may earn a number of different religious degrees in such areas as Youth Ministry, Biblical Counseling and Pastoral Ministry. Additional programs are offered in Teacher Preparation for the elementary and secondary levels.
Regardless of your major you are required to take a series of core classes, which provide a foundation in both the Bible and in the liberal arts and sciences.
Student and campus life activities will also give you an opportunity to enhance and expand your religious knowledge and spiritual faith. Chapel services are required, as is a membership at a local church. Christian service is also a mandatory part of the ABC experience. If you are under age 25 you will be required to live on campus and will, therefore, have better access to such activities.
The admissions department requires applicants to be practicing evangelical Christians. Academic requirements include proof of a high school diploma or GED and a placement test. SAT or ACT scores are only required for certain departments.
Financial aid is awarded to eligible students and is based on financial need.
