Description

Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) offers traditional degree and certificate programs as well as assistance to help adult students in the process of transitioning back into an academic environment.

NACC offers associate’s degrees in a variety of fields including General Studies, Music, agricultural fields, computer-related fields, Education, Criminal Justice, Practical Nursing and pre-professional studies such as Pre-Dentistry and Pre-Medicine. Some of NACC’s programs are intended to qualify students for employment while others are intended for transfer to a four-year university.

With a commitment to helping all of its students succeed both academically and career-wise, NACC does its best to support all students, particularly those re-entering academia after a long hiatus.

The school’s Center for College of Success helps re-entering students to rebuild lost skills through extra classes and tutoring. The Center for College Success also provides support and encouragement to its reentering students through counseling.

NACC offers developmental education courses as well. Such classes provide students lacking in college preparation the academic foundation they will need to succeed.

Northeast Alabama Community College provides additional services intended to help all students of all ages and backgrounds. These include Career development, academic advising and tutoring.

Financial aid is also available to those who qualify and is particularly based on financial need. Financial aid sources include loans and grants.
