UAM Description

Students within Arkansas as well as those residing in neighboring states may obtain their degree from University of Arkansas Monticello at a reduced tuition rate.

Academics at Monticello consist of Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees as well as certificates in a range of subjects. These include technical fields, nursing, liberal arts, sciences, education and social work. Monticello also offers pre-professional training for such careers as veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering and law.

Because the university offers in-state tuition to students in such states as Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Missouri and Tennessee, students often come from such locations to attend Monticello.

Monticello’s residential life accommodates such students by housing them in dormitories as well as family housing units for those who require it.

Student life opportunities include a number of NCAA Division II teams, vibrant Greek life, and student organizations, which include everything from a Japanese club to the Creative Artists Society to a medical sciences club.

Admissions at the undergraduate level are based on evaluation of transcripts and test scores. Students applying to graduate programs must take the GRE.

Financial aid is available through numerous sources to those who qualify.
