Known as the “on-ramp” to University of Wisconsin, Madison Area Technical College ensures direct university transfer for qualified students.

Located in the city of Madison, Wisconsin, Madison Area Technical College offers online, televised, and day and evening on-campus courses leading to associate’s degrees and certificates.

A number of Madison Area Tech’s associate’s programs come with guaranteed admission to a bachelor’s degree program at University of Wisconsin Madison if students complete the program. Students may also transfer to one of UW’s other six campuses as well as such schools as Bellevue University, Franklin University and Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Madison Area Tech also offers over 140 career training programs for those who wish to learn the skills for a high-demand career in a short amount of time. These degrees and certificates lead to such rapidly growing careers as Culinary Arts, Civil Engineering Technology, Criminal Justice, Dental Assisting, Digital Forensics, Electron Microscopy Technology, Human Services and Occupational Therapy Assistance.

For students who are undecided about or not yet prepared for either of these tracks, Madison Area Tech has courses and support in place. Continuing education classes in basic skills and GED prep may give one the necessary educational foundations while career and academic advising may help students decide on specific areas of study.

Financial aid offerings include the standard work-study, scholarships, grants and loans for eligible students.
