Herzing College From Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia

Herzing College is a private, career focused institution of higher education that awards diplomas, associate degrees and bachelor degrees in a variety of disciplines. It was founded by Henry and Suzanne Herzing in 1965 as a computer programming school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It now has seven campuses in the U.S., and four locations in Canada, and an online Division, herzingonline.edu. Herzing College in the U.S. is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. The locations outside of Quebec in Canada are accredited by the Council on Education and Training Accrediting Commission. The programs offered by the Montreal Campus are approved by the Minister of Education in Quebec which allows credits earned there to be transferable to other Quebec institutions of higher education offering the same subjects.

While expanding its campuses, Herzing also diversified its educational programs to include the fields of business, technology, health care, design, and public safety. All U.S. campus locations award bachelor of science degrees and associate of science degrees (Akron location is pending for awarding Bachelor Degrees as of February, 2008) Not all campuses offer all the programs. A pending application with the Higher Learning Commission to offer a Master Degree in Business Administration with several concentrations is expected to be acted upon by August,2008.

The United States campuses are located in Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; Madison, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New Orleans, Louisiana; Orlando, Florida and Akron, Ohio (known as Akron Institute at Herzing College).

The Canadian campuses are located in Montreal, Quebec,Ottawa, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario, and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
