Massasoit Community College ("MCC") is a two-year community college in Norfolk County and Plymouth County, Massachusetts. It offers associate degrees in 19 majors in arts, sciences, and applied sciences. The college was founded in 1966, and is named for Massasoit, the great sachem of the Wampanoag.

As of Fall 2006, there were 6,975 full-time, credit students enrolled at the college's two campuses. The school's tuition and fees for a full-time student (12 credits, or 4 classes) are $1,332 per semester. The school has an equal number of male and female students.

Campuses

The college's main campus is in the city of Brockton. It holds ten different buildings. The Student Center, Technology, Business, Science and Maintenance Department buildings began construction in 1969, and opened in 1972. Five other buildings were added in 1978: the Humanities, Liberal Arts, Fine Arts, Field House and Administration buildings. The college also owns a banquet/function hall in Brockton, built around the late 1970s and acquired by the college in 2004, which is utilized by its culinary arts program.

A second campus is located in the town of Canton, which is in the Blue Hills area of Massachusetts. The Canton campus consists of a multi-level building, on land adjacent to the Blue Hills Regional Technical School. The Canton campus is also the current home of the Milton Art Museum.

Athletics

Massasoit is a member of the NJCAA, in which it has won three national titles: Men's Division II Baseball (1993) and Men's Soccer (1986 and 1987). The Massasoit Community College Department of Athletics currently offers intercollegiate sports in Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's basketball, Men's Baseball, and Women's Softball. In the past, it has also offered Men's and Women's Ice Hockey, Men's and Women's Golf, Men's and Women's Tennis, Men's and Women's Volleyball programs. Club sports offered are Men's and Women's Flag Football, Men's Freestyle Wrestling, Men's and Women's Cycling, Men's and Women's Powerlifting and Men's and Women's Ultimate Frisbee.
