Description

Fred W. Eberle Technical Center (FETC) serves adults looking to begin or upgrade a career, or high school students interested in entering the workforce.

Located in Buckhannon, West Virginia, FETC serves residents of Barbour, Upshur and Lewis counties.

Fred W. Eberle Technical Center’s programs can lead to careers in automotive technology, building construction, computer repair, practical nursing, welding and other fields.

There are programs designed for adults who wish to begin careers or simply sharpen skills in their current career.

Programs for high school students are for youth who are interested in getting a head start on or beginning a solid career.

Adults who wish to enroll may do so directly through the FETC center while high school students must do so with the help of their guidance counselor.

In addition to classroom training, FETC has student organizations which help students to build on and apply what they’ve learned in the classroom. One of these is Skills USA.

Intended for FETC’s high school students, this program gives FETC’s youth the opportunity to compete with technical students nationwide in skill-based competitions.

Health Occupations Students of America is an FETC organization for students of all ages who are undergoing training in health or medical professions.

Pell grants, HEAP grants for adult students and Veteran’s and vocational rehabilitation benefits are some of the financial aid sources available to eligible students. For additional sources and for information on applying for aid students may consult an FETC financial aid counselor.
