Description
A historically black Christian school, Livingstone College offers a unique interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students for a range of careers that positively influence society.
This program offered through the Center for Holistic Living was created with the intention of giving students a broad education, while training them for a range of graduate programs and service-oriented careers, particularly those in service of underserved African-American communities. The Center for Holistic Living degree requires students to take such courses as Health, Wellness and Fitness, Public Service, Organizational Leadership and Spanish as a Second Language
Livingstone’s traditional departmental offerings include degrees in Business, Criminal Justice, Music Education, Religious Studies and Theatre Arts.
Through Livingstone’s evening and weekend college, students may also obtain degrees in such fields as Elementary Education and Business Administration.
Even the more standard academic offerings are taught in the context of spirituality, service to humanity, integrity and social justice.
To enhance quality of student life and the educational experience, Livingstone provides an enriching campus experience. In addition to having the choice to live on campus, students at Livingstone may also engage in Greek life, sports teams and academic, professional and cultural organizations.
Financial aid at Livingstone includes work study, loans and grants. Payment plans are also available.
