Description

Monty Tech, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, is one of those rare schools that benefits from a strong academic program as well as from its dedicated students and support services.

Students in any year of high school can apply for fall admission. Applications are turned in to local public school guidance counselors for consideration on the basis of grades, attendance, general conduct, a counselor’s recommendation and an interview.

Monty Tech is a high school that preps students to succeed at universities or technical schools while instilling important skills for their prospective career paths.

Counselors help set out a concrete career plan for students and then set them on the academic path that will prepare them with the skills needed to truly excel at that career. Guidance counselors are also available to help with personal development.

Programs include Automotive Technology, Business Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Early Childhood Education, Health Occupations, Industrial Technology, and Welding, among others.

The cooperative education program gives students the opportunity to not only learn vocational skills in the classroom but also gain work experience with local businesses. The program has connections with many employers in the area that may have temporary, part-time jobs available.

Over 60 yearly scholarships from local organizations are available to help pay for tuition, which are set aside specifically for eligible Monty Tech students.
