DWCI Description

As its name indicates, Divine Word College is a seminary. Affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, Divine Word is a men’s college that focuses exclusively in missionary training. It prides itself on being the only college of its kind in the United States.

Because of its unique nature, Divine Word College has a somewhat unique admissions process as well. The school will stay in personal contact with you throughout the process, ensuring that you have not only a commitment to Divine Word, but also a commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ.

Divine Word College’s academics include three majors that lead to a bachelor’s degree. You can choose to major in Philosophy, Cross Cultural Studies or Religious Studies. There is also an associate’s degree program for students interested in a two-year degree.

Because many of Divine Word’s students are international, the college has an extensive English as a Second Language program, which consists of 18 to 22 hours of coursework per week. Students can also choose to study this program part-time.

Extensive financial aid is available at Divine Word College. Students can apply for institutional assistance every year, in addition to the Presidential Scholarship and numerous endowed scholarships.
