The primary objective of Arthur's Beauty College is to provide the education and practical training needed to become a licensed professional in the field of Cosmetology, Aesthetician, Nail Technician or Instructor Training. We strive to encourage our students to meet their highest potential through a combination of faculty leadership, personal attention and technical training. At Arthur's, our students receive a solid foundation of knowledge and skills on which to build a successful future.
Arthur's is in its third generation as a family owned business, continuing a fine reputation of educating cosmetology, nail, aesthetic and Instructor students in Arkansas. Arthur’s is headquartered in Jacksonville, with additional locations in Pine Bluff, Conway, and Fort Smith.
Arthur's Beauty College is one of the leading cosmetology educators in the state of Arkansas. Our teaching methods are designed to ensure our students are well trained in their course of study and for the Arkansas State Board Exam. Our students work under the direct supervision of licensed instructors, to perform various beauty services for the public. Arthur's Beauty College exclusively offers Business Fundementals, which is a program designed to teach students the key business skills they will need to become successful salon and spa professionals. This is included in all of our programs.
The Forth Smith campus was purchased in March 2005 and is located one block off Rogers Avenue on North B Street. The facility is 5437 sq. feet with plenty of parking. There are 41 Dry stations, 5 Wet stations, 39 hydraulic chairs, 4 all-purpose hydraulic chairs, 12 shampoo bowls and chairs and 7 facial chairs. It is a non-smoking building.

A program that prepares cosmetologists, barbers, stylists, nail technicians, and other grooming specialists to teach their specializations in licensed and accredited schools of cosmetology and barbering, and to prepare for licensure as instructors. Includes instruction in cosmetology arts and sciences teaching principles; student learning styles; professional curricula development; instructional planning; instructional methods and aids; student counseling and career assistance; test development; and classroom/clinic management. Esthetician & Skin Care
Aestheticians cleanse, depilate, massage, and beautify the human body. This program allows individuals to function as licensed estheticians and skin care specialists. The program includes instruction in skin anatomy, physiology, and health, principles of nutrition, decontamination and infection control, health and safety, facial and body massage, body wrapping and spa treatments, temporary hair removal including waxing and tweezing, color and skin analysis, client consultation and care, applicable laws and regulations, business practices, and sometimes related alternative healing regimens. A program that prepares individuals to shape fingernails and toenails, remove unwanted skin and blemishes, apply polish and cosmetics to nails, and function as licensed manicurists or nail technicians/specialists. Includes instruction in manicuring theory; skin anatomy; nail growth, irregularities, and diseases; sterilization and sanitation; equipment and table maintenance; cuticle, blemish, and rough skin removal; nail filing, shaping, and polishing; cream application and extremity massage; nail sculpture and design art; product storage and use; customer service; laws and regulations; and business practices.
