Description
At Cortiva, our commitment is to provide an exceptional educational experience that will enable you to become a skilled and successful massage practitioner. At our massage school we believe in the transformational power of therapeutic massage and caring professional relationships. We respect the human body in all sizes, shapes, colors, and conditions. With reverence we recognize its power to work, to play, and to heal. We value careful science and cultivated intuition as essential to developing both the skill and the art of massage. We know that when compassion and acceptance guide skilled technique, our work supports the healing process.
Our vision honors the power of body, mind and spirit. Our mission to train high-quality massage therapists in a culture that encourages the growth of each member of the school community requires both distinguished professional standards and a commitment to the success of each student. Beginning with attention to self-care and personal development, Cortiva prepares students to make a healthy difference in the lives of people they touch.
Cortiva Institute - Seattle has been educating massage practitioners for over 30 years, with faculty members who have a combined 200 years of experience in the bodywork industry. Our curriculum goes well beyond state and national standards. It's designed to integrate and layer subjects so that learning is held - in your hands, in your head, and in your heart. In this way, our approach creates a multi-faceted, dynamic learning environment. Weaving it all together are the instructors. Passionate about sharing what they know and helping you grow, the talented faculty bring the curriculum to life. They are accomplished, inspirational, and committed as instructors and human beings.
