AU Description
Community College of the Air Force is a constituent of Air University. Located at the Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, Air University was established to train airmen for military service. Community College of the Air Force serves the additional function helping enlisted airmen transition from service to a military career.
CCAF’s academics include associate’s of applied science degrees in the following areas:
- Aircraft and Missile Maintenance
- Allied Health
- Electronics and Telecommunications
- Logistics and Resources
- Public and Support Services
If you’re interested in pursuing a particular career, CCAF offers about 70 programs that lead to specific careers in the Air Force. Among these programs are Air Traffic Operations and Management, Logistics and Vehicle Maintenance. Some programs, such as Pharmacy Technology and Restaurant, Hotel & Fitness Management, can also translate to civilian careers.
For an even more career-specific education, you can also enroll in one of CCAF’s certificate programs. These professional certificates can further your credentials in a variety of subjects, including military instruction.
