Description

Tallahassee Community College (TCC), in Tallahassee, Florida is an ideal place for those who wish to eventually transfer to one of Florida’s respected state universities.

With more than 75 programs offered, TCC students may study everything from Computer Programming to Criminal Justice to Nursing to Liberal Arts.

TCC offers career certificates in addition to its associate’s degrees. However, it is the two-year associate’s programs to which TCC students gravitate the most.

Some of those who receive a two-year TCC associate’s go directly on to steady careers. However, TCC’s four-year university transfer rate is one of the highest in the state of Florida. Many of TCC’s graduates transfer to such universities as Florida State, Florida A & M and Barry University.

One of the reasons students at Tallahassee Community College are so successful is that they receive high quality instruction and services while at TCC.

For example, TCC offers outstanding college readiness programs. These include the TCC Connection and the Summer Education Academy, which help provide the necessary support for low-performing high school students transitioning to TCC.

Other student services include tutoring, access to note takers, assistance with test-taking, an adaptive computer lab, student and career advising, disability services and financial aid. There are also a number of academic, recreational, arts, cultural and other student clubs and organizations.
