FDU Description

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham College in Madison, New Jersey is an excellent choice for students who are interested in professional education opportunities in a small and beautiful East Coast college setting.

Academics at Fairleigh Dickinson encompass more than 75 major areas of study including the liberal arts and sciences. However, it’s Fairleigh’s professional programs in such fields as Business, Hospitality Management, Teacher-Education, Pre-Law and Pre-Medicine for which it is particularly well-known.

Bachelor’s and master’s degrees are both offered at Fairleigh as well as a unique program that combines both bachelor’s and master’s degrees into one program of study.

Internship opportunities as well as extensive research activities are also available at Fairleigh Dickinson. Fairleigh is particularly well-known for its “public mind” research division which conducts national surveys on everything from homeland security to reality television.

Student life offers cultural, creative and recreational opportunities such as a well-known literary journal and publishing company, Division III sports, and student organizations. All of this exists on a naturally stunning campus surrounded by lush forest.

Admission for undergraduates is fairly selective with the average admitted freshman having average or slightly above average test scores and grades.

Tuition and room and board at Fairleigh Dickinson is dependent on the campus and housing chosen. Tuition rates are the same for in-state or out-of-state students. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
