Description

Seminole State College (SSC), located in Seminole, Oklahoma, is an ideal starting point or destination for all students regardless of culture, race, financial status, physical disability or even geographical location.

A two-year college, SSC’s programs include certificates and associate’s degrees in such fields as business, nursing, humanities, social sciences and child development.

SSC is one of a group of schools which participate in the nationwide TRIO program. The TRIO program offers assistance for low-income, disabled and veteran students. Such support includes extensive tutorial assistance, workshops, advocacy and more.

TRIO also sponsors programs for high school students, which include free workshops on life skills, career choices, and test-taking and study skills.

Regardless of whether you qualify for the TRIO program or not, as an SSC student you are eligible to receive career counseling and academic advising.

SSC offers distance learning courses, and they are also one of a few two-year schools which offer on-campus housing options as well. Therefore, students who want to attend SSC should not feel limited by their geographical location.

Financial aid is available to eligible students in the form of grants, loans, scholarships and work-study programs.
