Ladera Career Paths Training Center is a component of Ladera Career Paths, Inc., a Southern Californian human resources company. The Training Center is a small vocational school designed to help its students find entry-level employment

LCPTC’s academics focus on the health care industry, a high-demand field. The center has programs leading to careers in medical coding, billing and transcribing. The 282-hour core curriculum includes courses in computer basics, medical terminology and pathophysiology and pharmacology. Following the core curriculum, you can choose from one of four specialized programs:

  • Medical Coder / Medical Biller / Health Claims Examiner
  • Medical Biller
  • Medical Record Coder
  • Medical Transcriptionist

Tuition varies based on the specialization you choose. LPCPTC offers financial aid and payment plans to those who qualify, and the center is also eligible for federal grant and loan programs.

The center has simple admissions requirements, which include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a passing score on an entrance exam. You must also meet with an education administrator to discuss your goals and plan your education.
