In Mercer, Pennsylvania, you can take secondary and continuing education courses that can earn you a career-specific certificate at Mercer County Career Center.

There are plenty of career programs to choose from, such as Auto Mechanics, Building Trades Maintenance, Computer and Office Technology, Early Childhood Education, Health Care Careers, Precision Production Metals, Protective Services, and Robotics, Engineering & Design.

The Work Based Learning program offers many options in working toward a great new career. Job shadowing allows a student to follow an employee in his or her workplace in order to learn the ins and outs of the business.

Clinical Experience is a program that takes place within the school but is focused on learning how to work in a real job-like environment. Cooperative Education takes a student’s career objective and helps them find paid employment to gain experience in their chosen field.
