Penn State Hazleton is a commonwealth campus of the Pennsylvania State University. It is located west of Hazleton, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, near the junction of Interstates 80 and 81. The Hazleton Campus was originally chartered in 1934 and moved to its current location in 1948. Today, the campus occupies over 100 acres in Sugarloaf Township and has an enrollment of over 1,200 full- and part-time students; both traditional and non-traditional.
