Description

Carolina Christian College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, gives both traditional and non-traditional students the chance to earn a degree or certificate in preparation for the Christian ministry. Programs integrate liberal arts courses so that students will have the well-rounded education and perspective so useful in ministering to various populations and cultures.

In addition to a traditional bachelor’s degree program, Carolina Christian has The Accelerated Student Achievement Program, an accelerated bachelor’s program for working adults.

Considerate of the typical working adult’s busy schedule, the ASAP program is offered one night per week and each course last five weeks. Also, papers and other out-of-class assignments take the place of exams.

For adults who wish to earn a ministerial certificate, there is also an accelerated certificate program that offers similar scheduling flexibility for working adults and takes less time to complete.

Each program has different admissions requirements. Each program requires submission of an application, recommendation letters, a pre-assessment and a high school diploma or GED. Most programs also require a personal statement about one’s religious faith.

Students with a demonstrated financial need may apply for federal grants and loans to help offset tuition costs. Additionally, Carolina Christian has a certain number of academic scholarships available. Veteran’s benefits are also awarded to eligible military.
