West Valley College is committed to the broad educational mission of the California Community College system, which is in part, to offer lower division academic instruction and career preparation and to promote lifelong learning, intellectual rigor, aesthetic appreciation, respect for individual and world views, and responsible citizenship both locally and globally. The college is also committed to fulfill its mission to advance California's economic development by creating economic opportunities in the communities it serves.

West Valley College

West Valley College is a community college in northern California, founded in 1963. The 143 acre (579,000 m²) campus is located in the city of Saratoga.

In 2004, the school had a total enrollment of 10,719 students, and its faculty has 198 full-time and 270 associate members. As of 2005, West Valley College offered 61 associate's degree programs and 94 certificate programs.

Aside from traditional programs, West Valley College offers degrees in Interior Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Fashion design, Park Management, Heath Care Technologies, Paralegal, Child Studies, Engineering and Drafting.
