Interested in a career in cosmetology or barbering, but don’t know where to start? Consider starting at the Academy of Hair Design Inc., where you can receive training in these two beauty fields.
Located in Salem, Oregon, the Academy of Hair Design Inc. is near the up-and-coming city of Portland, and near a wealth of natural beauty.
At the school, students have a choice between three programs of study. The general Cosmetology program teaches students to cut and style hair, perform cosmetic procedures, give manicures and pedicures, administer massage, and more. The Barbering program focuses more on cutting hair and trimming facial hair, shaving, fitting hairpieces, and other other common barbershop services.
Students may also have the choice to complete the Cosmetology Instructor course, which will prepare them to teach others the art of cosmetology.
