Description

Founded over 115 years ago, Adelphi University is the oldest postsecondary institution in Long Island. A private university, Adelphi emphasizes independence, lifelong learning and community service.

The Garden City location is Adelphi’s main campus. Situated just 45 minutes outside of New York City, Adelphi Garden City features the majority of the university’s academics. The campus is comprised of the following schools:

*College of Arts and Sciences
*Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies
*Honors College
*University College
*Schools of Business, Nursing and Social Work
*Ruth S. Ammon School of Education

Through these academic divisions, Adelphi offers undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral studies.

The University College is uniquely designed for adult students. Admissions for this program are handled online, and you can apply for any program at the undergraduate or graduate level.

The Office of Student Financial Services works to make Adelphi students’ tuition more affordable. Federal and state grants, loan programs and scholarships represent some of the financial aid opportunities available at the university.

Many of the institutional scholarships are quite substantial. For example, the Trustee Scholarship ranges from $16,500 to $24,000 based on your academic achievements.
