MGCCC Description
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College offers specialized academic and career-training programs for those wanting to study near the Gulf Coast.
Located in Perkinston in Stone County MS, MGCC offers academic transfer programs in specific fields so that students will be prepared for their major when they move on to a four-year school. Academic program offerings include Art, Criminal Justice, Business and preparatory programs for Physical Therapy, Veterinary Science and Education.
MGCC also has over 60 career and technical programs for those who wish to move directly from school to the workplace.
MGCC has transfer agreements with such schools as University of Mississippi, Mississippi College, Mississippi State University, Jackson State University and Tulane University. Students may, therefore, transfer to these schools without worrying about losing credits.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College offers classes during the day, evening, on the weekends and online in order to accommodate any schedule.
MGCC also provides student support such as academic and career advising to help students with their studies and beyond.
Federal, state and school-based financial aid is available to those who qualify and includes grants, loans, work-study and scholarships.
