Description

At Irene’s Myomassology Institute in Southfield, Michigan, students receive professional massage therapy training as well as the chance to take numerous other courses related to massage and the healing arts. In addition, Irene’s provides excellent career services, which assist students with finding work long after they graduate.

Irene’s core curriculum is grounded in Swedish massage practice which, in the final stages of their training, they get to put into practice, offering massages to the public at the school’s clinic.

Students also get the benefit of additional courses in such specialized massage and healing practices as:

  • Canine Massage
  • Elder Massage
  • Feng Shui
  • Orthopedic Massage

As students prepare to graduate, the career services division helps to find them work in such facilities as:

  • Hospitals
  • Chiropractic offices
  • Spas
  • Salons

Since the career services division provides lifetime career placement, graduates may return any time after graduating to get help with finding work.

Irene’s participates in federal financial aid programs, awarding eligible students grants and/or loans to help pay for tuition. Additional funding opportunities are available as well, such as veteran’s benefits, and those offered through Michigan works and Michigan Rehabilitation Services.
