Description
Hands-on learning, short-term and flexible program options, and career placement services are some of the reasons to attend PCI Health Training Center in Dallas, Texas.PCI Health offers programs in some of today’s most in-demand healthcare professions including Medical Assisting, Medical Office Assisting and Patient Care Technology.
Since PCI’s programs can be completed in six to nine months, the investment of time and money is minimal.
However, even though programs may be short in duration, the quality of training remains high. Students learn through hands-on laboratory training starting the first week and in the last part of their program are assigned an externship, a position in their field where they may gain job skills and experience.
Since many of PCI’s students have busy schedules that prevent them from attending classes during the day, various scheduling options such as evening classes are available.
PCI also provides career placement assistance and counseling, which includes mock interviews, assistance with job searching and short-term employment opportunities. Not only that, but students are given life-long access to this employment search service.
The admissions department at PCI requires that students complete an application and have an interview with a PCI representative. A high school diploma or GED is required. However, for students who don’t have either of these, PCI offers a GED-prep course and possible admission to the school upon receipt of the GED. PCI will also consider giving credit for previous courses taken.
Tuition information may be obtained from PCI staff. Financial aid is available through numerous federal and school sources to those who qualify.
