Description
One of the few oncology-radiation degrees in the country, Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s program is committed to providing the most in-depth, hands-on clinical training. Located in the heart of New York City, Sloan-Kettering’s program takes as little as two years to complete. At the end of those two years, students are eligible to take the exam to become licensed radiation therapists.
The curriculum consists of extensive theory, but also puts students to work under professional supervision almost immediately.
Other opportunities include numerous clinical rotations, Saturday workshops in clinical care and assignments at various medical sites throughout the area.

Career services at Sloan-Kettering provides added support in job placement by hosting career development workshops and symposiums, where students often the opportunity to meet and network with professionals in the field.
Admission requirements include a high school diploma or GED, certain prerequisites in math and science, an entrance exam and an interview with a school official.
