UTHSCA Description

As one of six health institutions in the University of Texas health system, the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio provides academics in several areas of the medical field. The school is also a world-class research center, renowned for its breakthrough work in oncology.

UTHSCSA offers certificate and degree programs through the following schools:

*Dental School
*Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
*School of Health Professions
*School of Medicine
*School of Nursing

The Dental School is particularly highly regarded, and includes DDS, DDS/PhD and various advanced certificate programs. The school also features a DDS program designed specifically for internationally trained dentists.

Admissions requirements vary by school, but are generally straightforward. For example, the graduate program in Molecular Medicine requires an application with official transcripts, GRE scores, three letters of recommendation and a personal statement.

UTHSC San Antonio’s Office of Financial Aid provides several opportunities to help you fund your education. State and federal programs are available, as well as institutional scholarships, which are based on both need and merit.
